how many times have people told you to meditate? now how many times have they told you what that sh*t even really is? here's what to do, how to do it & where to do it...
all meditation means is taking time to mentally focus & reflect on sh*t. that's it, that's all. there are a million ways to do this shit, but what most people know is it doesn't take all the extra sh*t like they may think. seriously, all you need somewhere quiet to sit for a few minutes. even if that's in the car. you gotta start somewhere.
breaking this mediation sh*t down. ultimately all you need to meditate is a quiet space & anywhere from 5-20 minutes. sh*t does get busy, so if you don't have 5 minutes to meditate then you need 2 hours to sit & figure out what tf is going on in your life & when did it become ok to not have 5 minutes to do wtf you wanna do... fix that then come back.
as you grow & heal, that lil space on the floor may end up as an altar, peace corner or an entire mediation room. work with what you got til you can manifest the sh*t you want.
how to meditate | ok so when that's done, scan your body, see what's hurting, what's talking, your body will spill the tea. focus on that part & give it some mental love & acknowledgment. fix that part then move on to the next, repeat until you've reached your time or until you feel better. yep, sh*t is really that easy.
mindful meditation | ok so all you do is pay attention to the sh*t your thinking while you're thinking it. that's it, don't judge your thoughts, don't think them through, just take note of the sh*t that seems to be a pattern & move on. mindful meditation focuses on concentration & awareness. focus only on what's in your mind, breathe then focus on what your body is doin. then focus on how tf it feels.
spiritual meditation | spiritual meditation is for those who wanna connect to higher powers or just wanna grow in spirit. it's basically a quiet prayer time that you spend listening to your inner voice.
mantra | over on the frequency page we covered mantras & sounds & how they heal. mantra mediation is just that damn simple, pick a mantra or a chakra sound & rock that shit out.
movement | if you need active meditation opt for a walk in nature & let movement push you into a safe space to connect with the present, that includes your body, which is also probably pissed with you since you don't do sh*t outside, it's ok, we have yet to figure out a solution for that sh*t.
visual meditation | you know how at jobs they tell you bring in a picture of what motivates you? ok this is basically the same sh*t, visualize what you want, where you want to be or some sh*t like that. basically this brings on relaxes, peaceful feelings. if you're not cool with being on the beach when it's actually -2 degrees outside, cool, visualize yourself completing that goal you set, then go do it. same sh*t worded different.
scanning | body scanning is some sh*t you do in bed to relieve stress & sh*t. focus on your body, pay attention to what feels off & give that sh*t some attention. tense your muscles up then relax them, just to remind them wtf is about to go on. tell your brain to shut tf up. visualize some peaceful shit.
chaos on the inside of your life typically reflects on the outside. it's almost impossible to meditate in the midst of chaos, so if you're having an issue getting grounded & centered, start with this shit.
clean your f*kn house. dust. mop. sweep. vacuum.
move some sh*t around.
fold the laundry & hang the clothes up.
clean the f*kn car out.
you gotta get rid of old stagnant sh*t. (this includes people.)
donate some sh*t to charity.
throw some sh*t away.
block some mfrs.
your peace & balance starts here. just pick a corner & start. call friends to help or hell call a cleaning service if you need to. just get the sh*t done.
relax & focus your attention to your breathing. when you start meditation your mind will wander & that's to be expected. this sh*t takes practices. all you need to do is acknowledge your mind is wandering & tell the mfr come here & sit down cuz we're tryna fix you.
